Education in Haiti

Globally, and particularly in Haiti, the belief that a child will access education if placed in an orphanage or out of home situation is a major driver for family separation. This workshop will provide an overview of the ways that families can be strengthened and preserved through education programming, touching on the use of social workers, feeding programs through schools, the use of school scholarships and strengthening schools as a hub for community development. Join us to hear the experiences of organizations running education programs that strengthen families and share your own story! There will be time for both presentation and dialogue.
